I’m Louise. I’ve spent 16 years building B2B marketing functions — including Klaviyo, as their first hire in Europe.
In 2022 I went fractional and set up Codi, the first fractional B2B marketing agency for SaaS. I operated as the CMO and built a team of specialist marketers who’d deploy alongside our clients to implement the strategy we’d developed together.
However, increasingly the businesses we work with have a marketer in seat.
They didn’t need to necessarily need to do more, they want to focus on what matters. To do that they need a clear strategy.
But advancements in AI have the ability to support solo marketers with systems and process that take the low value, busy tasks off their plate.
Naturally I was being asked to advise SaaS businesses on what AI workflows they should implement, so Codi has evolved to offer this alongside strategic work.
Why did you name it Codi?
I spent my childhood and early adult life in Wales — I even got married there. I love Wales, and hope to move back one day.
When I was building a business, I looked to Welsh words for inspiration. I fell in love with codi, which is Welsh for to build, to rise, to lift, to create. That’s always been the work I wanted to do: help SaaS companies grow through effective marketing, and lift other marketers up. With this new chapter, the name feels even more apt.
That’s the work today. Build AI-native marketing functions. Lift marketers up so they advance, not fall behind.
